Isabel Safie and Jill Tremblay Return to 2018 So. Cal. Super Lawyers Rising Stars List

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Best Best & Krieger LLP is pleased to announce that attorneys Isabel Safie and Jill Tremblay were again included on the Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of eligible lawyers in California are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. To be selected as a Rising Star, the attorney must be under age 40 or in practice for less than 10 years, and must have demonstrated significant achievements in their practice area.
 
Isabel, a partner in BB&K’s Riverside office, was recognized in the area of Employee Benefits. This is her fourth year appearing on the list. She represents public and private sector clients on the design of employee benefit programs and issues presented by the retirement programs and welfare benefit plans they establish and maintain for their employees. She counsels clients on applicable tax requirements as well as fiduciary obligations under federal, state and local pension laws. Last year, she was a named a Woman Worth Watching by the Profiles in Diversity Journal. Isabel earned her law degree at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.
 
Jill, an associate, was recognized for the second time in the Estate and Probate category, although her practice also focuses on public agency law. Working from the firm’s Indian Wells office, Jill advises municipal and special district clients on a variety of issues, including land use law, code enforcement, First Amendment concerns, California Environmental Quality Act, Public Records Act, Brown Act compliance and state and local cannabis laws, regulations and taxation structures. She serves as assistant city attorney for the City of Palm Desert and is the chairman of the Board of the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce. She earned her law degree at Pepperdine University School of Law.
 
The annual Rising Stars selections are made via a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers Magazines and in leading city and regional magazines and newspapers across the country.
